Still the Dark Night Walks in Sunlight by Ari Bouse

I see a past life connection in your eyes
And yet here we are standing right Tao
I see a past life connection in your eyes
Now is all we have right now
When your rat scurries from the comfortable woodpile in the darkness of twilight
The spider in me gets out her pen to write
The thunder sounds and the lightning strikes
And still the dark night walks in sunlight

Well I had a whale of a time docking in your shores
And yet I stayed anchored in with my first mate
Well I had a whale of a time docking in your shores
My urges are tidal and my waters a perfect storm
Now here I sit while gazing on the lake
Wondering if you’re if you’re thinking of me while lying awake
The clouds roll in and the lightning strikes
And still the dark night walks in sunlight

There’s an echo in a hidden crevasse
Calling out from the Great Void I’ve heard before
There’s an echo in a hidden crevasse
A rapturous choir I’ll sing some more
I’ve been hiking these trails with one foot in spirit, one foot in ground
Gazing o’er summits once lost and found
The wind cries out and the butterflies take flight
And still the dark night walks in sunlight

Now I’m making my way down from the mountaintop
A message from Mother Nature I’ll share with you all
Sending peace out tweets to my peeps in the woods
Mother Nature’s direction I can’t foretell
The past is gone and the future’s undone
But here we stand in Unity as One
The sun will rise and the moon shines
And still the dark night walks in sunlight
