Loss by Pulkita Anand

The world is full of loss, where am I to find mine?
Under the oil tank, over the legislation, behind the stacks and tracks,
Under the diamond, over the rooftop, among acrid desires
In the files, in the data, on the road
The time I travelled is the time I lost
I measured out my life in losses
I know the voices are losing with their loss
While
The Kalashnikov has been feeding children
To whom will I recite this lost time?
The first noun, laughter, got enmeshed
In the verbs and adjectives
Finally lost
